The Whidbey West Water system has:
- Four fire hydrants with installed hose adapters along the lower portion of West Beach Road, connected to an 8” main line
- Five fire hydrants with installed hose adapters in the Even’Down neighborhood, connected to a 6” main line.
Other areas of the water system currently have no fire hydrants.
Fire hydrant hose adapters facilitate easy hookup of 4” diameter standard hydrant plugs to local fire-fighting 5” diameter hoses.
